Leon and Rita Tokar have long been passionate cooks for their own family and friends, often envisioning owning and running a Restaurant of their very own creation one day. Their dream was finally realised when, on a glorious summer day in January 2003 they opened Tokar Estate Restaurant; bringing an exotic feel to the picturesque Yarra Valley by introducing “a slice of the Mediterranean” to the region.
With the Restaurant dishing up stylish cuisine, peppered with strong Mediterranean influences, and a fabulous outdoor decking and dining area overlooking the stunning surrounding vineyards,Yarra Valley and exquisite skyline; one could certainly imagine themselves to be far off in an exotic overseas location, as they sample sumptuous dishes and sip perfectly matched wines, such as our award winning Spanish Tempranillo.
